World AIDS Day Theme: Get tested, get treated

The march started at 9h30 via Virginia Supermarket and it ended at Simon Msibi Play Park next to Regina Coeli Roman Catholic Church in section 6. All the guests were welcomed and prayer was led by Fr. Ze’ of the Roman Catholic Church. One of the caregivers addressed the community, followed by input from an AIDS activist on the importance of disclosure. Drama showed how people can get TB and HIV, and the relationship between them. There was a talk on the importance of not mixing   herbal treatment and western treatment. A message was conveyed to the public about the importance of getting tested and taking treatment regularly. The people who were targeted were youth, teenagers and adults. Everybody was educated about safe sex and the importance of A, B, C. Also that these disease can attack anyone, rich or poor, white or  African, old or young, educated or uneducated. So everyone should get tested get treated.
