Career Camp, Durban
The SACBC AIDS Office organized a career camp at St. Philomena’s Hospitality and Conference Center, Durban
The camp was attended by grade 11 and 12 learners from rural areas and townships in Kwazulu Natal. The learners are orphans and vulnerable children and receive support from community based organizations that are SACBC AIDS Office partners. The purpose of this camp was to provide the learners with exposure to both skilled and professional careers, so that they can make informed decisions regarding their future careers and studies, this was particularly important for these groups of learners because they do not have easy access to institutions of higher learning.
