The Southern African Catholic Bishops Conference (SACBC)
The Southern African Catholic Bishops’ Conference (SACBC) brings together the bishops of the Catholic Church in three Southern African countries (South Africa, Swaziland and Botswana), and helps support the work of evangelization and of social outreach to twenty nine dioceses, twenty six of them in South Africa. The SACBC AIDS Office supports the work of the dioceses in responding to AIDS in these countries, attempting to provide increasingly integrated services in collaboration with government departments, various non government organisations (NGOs) and other stakeholders.
