A house built with funding received through the SACBC AIDS Office has been handed over in Phuthaditjhaba, Free state, to its proud new owners.
The house was given to the two orphans (Mokoena Nnoi and Mdakane Tebello) who have lost both parents and who are now staying with their guardian. Nnoi, who was present during the ceremony, couldn’t hide the excitement concerning the new house. She wrote a thank you letter to the SACBC and to St. Kizito, the project that made the recommendation for the family to be considered.
The ceremony was attended by: Ms. Manti Mkhabane from the Department of Social Development, joined by her two colleagues; a journalist from a local newspaper and a radio station, Ms.Maletsatsi Wittes; care givers, the contractor, neighbours, St. Kizito coordinator Mr. Johanees Mabuya and SACBC Project Manager Sibonakaliso Mkhize (second from left).
